After an indulgent dinner, we strolled back to the car, our bellies full, but the siren call for ice cream was just too alluring. Who can resist dessert? There’s a reason why your dessert stomach is separate, right?
That’s when we made a quick pit stop at Hometown Creamery in Hayes Valley. The local gem offers an array of unique flavors that celebrate quality ingredients.
Don’t miss their Fresh Mint Chip, made with real mint instead of artificial flavoring. It’s like biting into fresh mint leaves, providing a refreshing twist on a classic favorite.
We indulged in their Peanut Butter Chocolate Fudge and Apple Honey Cake, a play on the traditional Jewish New Year dessert – brown sugar ice cream mixed with apple honey cake. But my favorite? Hands down, it has to be the Chamoyada – a refreshing mango sorbet swirled with sweet and spicy chamoy ribbons. It’s a vibrant fiesta in a scoop.
With rotating flavors, every visit promises a delightful surprise. Whether seasonal specials or creative twists, Hometown Creamery keeps the experience fresh. If you’re in the area, treat yourself to a scoop or two – you won’t regret it!
