Pink Lemons?
If your mind is trying to wrap itself around the concept of pink lemons, yes, they do exists. And no, they are not a trendy genetically modified fruit. Pink lemons are a result of a spontaneous mutation that was first discovered in 1930 in Burbank, California.
What do they taste like?
Compared to their yellow counterpart, they are a little less tart and slightly more sweet.
pink lemon margaritas
Materials
- 2 ounces blanco tequila
- 1 ounce Cointreau
- 1-2 pink lemons
- to taste simple syrup or agave optional
Instructions
- Add ice, tequila, Cointreau, and pink lemon juice to a cocktail shaker. You can also add a bit of simple syrup or agave if you desire.
- Shake it up and strain it into an ice-filled, salt-rimmed glass.
