Fall/Winter 2020 Fashion
While it might have snowed in some parts of the US recently, it’s barely starting to feel like fall here. I also think that quarantine life has messed with my sense of time. I can hardly believe it’s already November. I mean the sun is setting sooner and some days the temperature has dipped down to the mid to low 70s, but other than that it’s not sweater weather just yet.
Although it’s quite epithermal here in Southern California, sweater weather has always been my favorite. Perhaps it’s just a case of wanting something you don’t have.
I truly miss autumn on the East Coast. And watching Emily in Paris made me miss Paree. I know a lot of people associate Paris with spring, but most of the times that I’ve been to Paris has been in the fall, so I’ve always associated the two together. And I really, really wanted to go to Iceland this year. But alas, since we’re still in a raging, global pandemic, it doesn’t look like I’ll be traveling anywhere cold soon.
Bummer.
But just cause it’s doubtful that I’ll be pulling out my thick coats or tall boots this season, doesn’t mean I won’t be daydreaming about cool weather fashion. I still really want a leather puffer, even though it’s not practical for SoCal. Luckily though, one trend that is coming in strong this season is shackets. Totally appropriate outwear for the temperate weather. And if you live in a colder climate, it’s great for layering. Twin sets – a matching cardigan and crop top – are also ubiquitous this season. I already bought a set from Zara and I kinda really want one from Aritiza too. Leather, boots, plaids, and sweaters are, of course, timeless fall/winter staples.
What about you? Are you excited about any cool weather fashion this season?
