I have been lucky enough to have made it up to Canada a few times. But if you ask me what is classic Canadian cuisine, my mind immediately conjures up images of poutine, maple syrup, all dressed chips, and Tim Horton’s. However, if you’ve been EPCOT’s Canadian pavilion, you might think of a particular cheddar soup from Le Cellier Steakhouse.
If you ever wanted to recreate the soup at home, you’re in luck cause Disney Parks Blog recently published the recipe for their famous soup. I knew I had to try it. J’adore les soupes. This is perfect soup weather soup. Nothing beats warming up a drizzly, dreary winter day than a warm bowl of deliciousness.
Here’s a little food for thought. Is it still a Canadian cheddar cheese soup if it doesn’t contain Canadian cheese nor beer? Hmmm…Of course, ideally, I would have opted for Canadian cheese and beer, however, I am a big proponent of using what you have and all I had on hand was New Zealand white cheddar and Hawaiian beer. Either way, it turned out scrumptious.
