So there I was, feeling like I just fell down the rabbit hole and somehow ended up at Beyond. Dressed as the White Rabbit – a subtle nod to my constant tardiness – in a white slip dress and lace bunny ears, I danced so much that I accidently lost my trusty pair of sunglasses. But alas, losing sunnies (an unfortunate common occurrence for me) is but a small price to pay to the festival gods. Luckily, however, I was able to finagle a fresh new pair at the trading post by bartering some treats and trinkets. To finish off my leporine look, I bypassed the iconic pocket watch and instead opted for a watch choker – partly inspired by Taylor Swift’s Grammy look.
Once I was situated with my new specs, I was ready to party like there’s no tomorrow. And boy, did the day unfold like a dream! From trance that had me floating on clouds to bass that made my heart race faster than the White Rabbit himself, the music was absolutely mind-blowing. Shoutout to the Chainsmokers for their awesome set!
We continued on through the looking glass for Day Two and switched gears a bit. Our group theme was F1, so I donned a generic racing bodysuit, fishnets, belt bag, and my trusty combat boots and was ready to zoom through the festival grounds like a speed demon. Vroom vroom!
The Dillion Francis b2b Valentino Khan set had me feeling like I was revving up for the race of a lifetime. The energy was off the charts. It was also cute how they dressed up as In-N-Out workers. It lowkey had me craving for a cheeseburger, whole grilled onions, with chopped chilies.
The only downside to weekend, was that it was freezing. I had to buy a hoodie to keep slightly warm. But luckily it didn’t rain on us like it was supposed to.
As the night drew to a close and the music faded into the distance, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of bliss and gratitude that I could experience this with friends and family alike. Beyond was a whirlwind of fun, laughter, and epic tunes. From falling down the rabbit hole to speeding through the madness, it was a ride to remember. Until next time, keep the beats bumping and the good times rolling!
