So how’s everyone dealing with quarantine life? Still hanging in there? Here are some things that have brought me joy in the past couple of weeks.
I love how so many chefs have done Instalive cookalongs and tutorials. My favorite is Chef Ludo. The banter between Chef Ludo and his wife, Krissy, is cute.
I have since learned how to make the famous Petit Trois french omelette and Dijon dressing as well as gougères. Can’t wait to see what other lessons Chef Ludo has in store for the future…hopefully a Big Mec. Fingers crossed.
These are just the cutest. My airpod case kind got scratched up, I don’t even know how. I was debating between this one and the boba one, in the end the boba cuteness won over my wanderlust.
I already mentioned how my hands were getting a beating in the age of Corona in a previous post. The O’Keeffe’s hand creams have greatly helped healed my hands.
These are my first set of ceramic pans. My mom noticed that my pans were all scratched up the last last time she visited. So I was on the hunt for new cookware. It took me a while to decide which ones I wanted; I can be so indecisive about things. But quarantine made getting new pans a bit more vital. Since I’m cooking so much more than I usually do, it was definitely time to invest in a set. These Greenpans made the cut. It’s both aesthetically pleasing as well as functional.
I bought two types of masks from different companies, one with ties and one with elastic loops. I like the ones with ties from Reformation so much more since they don’t pull on my ears. The quality is also great. If you haven’t bought any masks yet, I highly recommend these.
DR. TEAL’S PINK HIMALAYAN FOAMING BATH
I’ve been taking a lot more baths recently. Self-care is vital in these trying times…sorry, that sentence was totally trite, but its nevertheless true. I’ve used Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salts before, but this is my first time trying the trying their bubble bath. It was the only adult bubble bath I could find at Target and it didn’t disappoint. The bubbles didn’t dissipate too quickly. I also love the scent. It was surprisingly refreshing. Will definitely be repurchasing.
BANILA CO HELLO SUNNY
I picked this up on a trip to Thailand. Unfortunately, I don’t think it’s sold stateside. Or at least, I can’t find any online. I really do think Asian sunscreens are so much better than their US counterparts. It’s not tacky and won’t leave you with a white cast.
This aluminum- and prarben-free deodorant is also baking-soda free, so it won’t leave you with a rash like how so many natural deodorants can. They also make a rose-scented one, which is more ubiquitous, but I prefer bright citrusy scents over florals.
I love how high-waisted these joggers are. I really fear the day when low rise pants come back in vogue. These are very comfy and not super expensive. And even though Liz Lemon might hate me for it, I can totally see it as my airport outfit (whenever I fly again).
