It’s probably nerdy of me to admit that I miss summer reading assignments, but what can I say, I am a nerd. So yes, I’ve created my very own summer reading list. Since it’s summer, all are pretty much breezy beach reads.
I read Crazy Rich Asians two years ago, but because the movie is coming out later this summer, I think it’s a great time for a little refresher. Who’s going to see it? I’m excited. I haven’t seen a fun rom-com in forever.
Both Something in the Water and Little Fires Everywhere are Reese Witherspoon’s book club picks from previous months.
There’s always the eternal debate of whether to see a movie or read the book first. Usually, I’m staunchly in the read first camp, but there are always some exceptions. I saw A Man Called Ove a couple years back and thought it was charming, hopefully the novel will be the same.
Are you guys watching Younger? If you haven’t, give it a try. It hilarious and the fashion is fun. Marriage Vacation is a great tie-in to the series.
